Welcome To Arts of Point Richmond

Enriching the Point Richmond community through accessible art programs and cultural events

Vision & Purpose

Arts of Point Richmond is a nonprofit community organization with a clear vision: to make art a vibrant and essential part of everyday life in Point Richmond. Our purpose is to support, promote, and celebrate local artists while fostering meaningful connections between creativity and community.
We envision a community where art is everywhere — in public spaces, on neighborhood walls, in local businesses, and at community events — bringing people together, sparking imagination, and inspiring dialogue. Art has the power to reflect our shared stories, to teach, to heal, and to strengthen the bonds between individuals and their surroundings.
Our purpose is to create opportunities for artists of all backgrounds to share their work, grow creatively, and connect with others. Through public art installations, exhibitions, educational workshops, and cultural events, we aim to serve the diverse residents of Point Richmond and surrounding areas — including youth, families, seniors, and visitors.
We believe that when people see themselves reflected in art — in murals, in community spaces, and in creative gatherings — they feel a stronger sense of identity, pride, and belonging. That’s why we champion inclusive, accessible, and community-focused arts programming.
As a registered nonprofit, we are powered by volunteers, artists, community partners, and generous donors who share our belief in the power of art. Together, we’re building a more colorful, creative, and connected future — one brushstroke, one idea, and one neighborhood at a time.

Our Story of Change

At Arts of Point Richmond, we believe creativity is the heartbeat of a thriving community. Through every brushstroke, sculpture, and shared artistic experience, we bring people together to celebrate expression, ignite imagination, and foster a deep sense of connection. Our work transforms public spaces into living canvases, breathing new life into our streets, parks, and gathering places where art becomes part of daily life.
Our local art exhibitions shine a light on the talent that exists within our neighborhood, providing emerging and established artists alike with a platform to share their work, tell their stories, and inspire others. These exhibitions aren’t just displays—they are conversations, opportunities for residents and visitors to engage with new perspectives and be moved by the creative spirit of Point Richmond.
Through our hands-on workshops, we nurture the next generation of artists and art enthusiasts. Children, families, and adults are invited to explore various art forms—whether through painting, sculpture, photography, or mixed media—empowering them to discover their creative potential in a supportive, welcoming environment.
Our public art installations beautify our community and leave a lasting legacy. Murals brighten alleyways, sculptures transform sidewalks, and collaborative art projects invite neighbors to take ownership of their environment. These works foster civic pride, improve community well-being, and ensure that art is not confined to galleries but made accessible to all.
By combining education, public engagement, and artistic excellence, we bring creativity to life, making Point Richmond not just a place to live, but a place to thrive.
